It’s that time of the month, where everyone banks on chocolates and roses to either show love, shoot their shot or even rekindle the spark. Four Seasons is taking valentines day to another level. Not making it one day, but extending some their offerings to the month on March.

FOUR SEASONS THE WESTCLIFF UNVEILS: ROMANCE ABOVE THE CITY

As Valentine’s Day approaches, Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff leans into what makes it unmistakably distinct. Suspended above Johannesburg’s sprawling urban forest, romance here unfolds not at street level, but among the City’s vibrant treetops.

This February, the hotel presents a thoughtfully curated Valentine’s programme that places its extraordinary setting at the centre of the celebration. At The Westcliff, the view is not a backdrop. It is part of the story.

Dinner Among the Lights

At Flames Restaurant, the deep terrace frames the city as it shifts from golden hour to a glittering nightscape. The Valentine’s menu, priced at R 2 145.00 per person, mirrors that gentle transition.

It opens with a delicate oyster ceviche amuse bouche, moves through confident main courses such as line caught seabass, beef fillet with foie gras or seared duck breast, and concludes with indulgent desserts and petit fours as the lights of Johannesburg come alive below.

Executive Chef Rudi Liebenberg describes the menu as “generous without excess, the kind of meal that encourages you to stay, to talk, and to let the evening unfold naturally”.

Love at Brunch

For those who prefer to celebrate by day, The Westcliff’s much-loved brunch becomes a Valentine’s affair on 15 February, from 12.30 to 16.00, priced at R 995.00 per person.

The lavish buffet showcases the culinary team’s creativity, with a live sushi counter, freshly shucked oysters, a show kitchen serving catch of the day or duo of beef, and an indulgent dessert spread featuring seasonal macarons, chocolate hazelnut tartlets and a live crêpe station. It is a leisurely, sunlit celebration designed to stretch well into the afternoon.

Afternoon Indulgence Above the Trees

Extending the Valentine’s celebration beyond a single day, The Westcliff’s Afternoon Tea becomes a romantic ritual in its own right throughout the month of February. Available from 6 February to 1 March, the experience is served Friday to Sunday at 12.00 and 15.00, priced at R 650.00 per person.

Framed by the hotel’s elevated position above Johannesburg’s urban forest, the offering brings together a sparkling ensemble of gourmet pastries, decadent loose-leaf teas and Methode Cap Classique.

Designed to be unhurried and indulgent, Afternoon Tea at The Westcliff invites couples to linger, converse and savour the moment, offering a refined daytime expression of Valentine’s romance.

Romance, Illuminated

The Westcliff Spa introduces the Candle Massage, a romantic ritual for couples that begins with champagne, chocolates and a single rose. The massage candle itself, infused with essential oils and used during the treatment, is gifted to take home, allowing the experience to linger long after Valentine’s Day. Midweek celebrations in the lead up to Valentines Day are equally considered.

The Weekday Wellness offering includes complimentary enhancements such as a body exfoliation with a full body massage, a scalp treatment, or hand and foot rituals paired with a facial. It is ideal for couples who favour a quieter, more intimate Valentine’s escape.

A Night Above It All

For those wishing to turn the occasion into a retreat, the Romantic Stay Package is available throughout February. The experience includes a Valentine’s welcome amenity, a curated dinner at Flames, and the hotel’s signature breakfast each morning. Guests are equally welcome to stay in, order room service, and watch the city wake from their private terrace.

Set high above Johannesburg’s urban forest, Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff offers a Valentine’s celebration that feels entirely removed from the everyday, while remaining firmly rooted in the city it overlooks.
